According to a new study conducted by the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC), “the number of women motorcycle riders is on the incline, mostly because of Millennials.” The MIC polled more than 2,400 adults nationwide, and concluded with the following stats worth highlighting:
- Women make up 19% of motorcycle owners (up from 10% a decade ago)
- Among Millennials, women make up 26% of motorcycle owners
- Among Gen X, women make up 22% of motorcycle owners
The future is bright for lady riders, and the MIC forecasts women ridership to rise to 25% in the near future.
